Requirements
- You must be a current college-level educator in the State of Texas. There are no additional prerequisites to take this course.
Technology Requirements
- Hardware Requirements: This course can be taken on either a PC or Mac
- Software Requirements: PC: Windows 8 or later, Mac: macOS 10.6 or later
- Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible
- Adobe Acrobat Reader. Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins
- Other: Email capabilities and access to a personal email account
- Instructional Material Requirements: The instructional materials required for this course are included in enrollment and will be available online.

Meet Your Instructor
James Dyer, is an English/Writing professor at Eastern Oregon University. He has taught multiple subjects at nearly all grade levels: his first teaching gig was as an assistant teacher at a preschool; he spent some time teaching postsecondary ESL and then middle and high school EFL as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cambodia; and he currently teaches composition, developmental writing, and other English classes at EOU. He received his Doctor of Education in Developmental Education degree from Texas State University, where his focus was on postsecondary literacy in higher education. He currently lives in Oregon with his partner and their three cat children.
