Evening and Weekend Programs

Evening and weekend classes are offered on the main campus in San Marcos, at various off-campus locations, and at Texas State University Round Rock campus. Many of these classes are enhanced through the use of the Internet, email, video, two-way interactive TV, and broadcast. The Catsweb Class Schedule provides a listing of all courses scheduled for each semester. 

Distance Learning Programs*

At Texas State, online learning reflects our passion for teaching and learning, the courage and discipline to prioritize, a deep commitment to core values, and the allocation of resources where we can deliver superior performance and distinctive impact. Texas State offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees via online learning, all of which are developed and taught by our university faculty. These degree programs require formal admission to the university, and applicants must meet Texas State's general admission requirements, as well as those specified by the individual degree program.

Students who complete their degree requirements via distance learning earn a degree from Texas State University. The diploma does not specify that the degree was earned in a distance learning program.

Texas State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees including those offered by distance learning. Texas State University is organized under a single administration, faculty, and budget and are therefore, accredited as a single institution which includes distance learning.
Accreditation and Reaffirmation at Texas State

Texas State University has a single faculty, a single student body and a single inventory of degree programs. If a particular Texas State University academic degree has a professional accreditation, that same professional accreditation includes degrees earned by distance learning.
